 What is the difference between Wicca & Witchcraft?

The two terms are basically interchangeable, Wicca being the relatively recent term meaning the religion..

 How long does it take for a spell to work?

Different factors have an impact on how long it takes for a Spell to work: The amount of energy expanded by the person doing the Spell, the receptiveness of the recipient, the severity of the case. On average, with ideal conditions, you should see some results within 5-7 days. Caution: If you get desired results before you have finished your Spellwork, do not stop, make sure you finish the Spell.

 Why do we use candles, incense & oils to do Spells?

Candles, incense, oils etc., are a connection to the elements of nature, which will help you achieve your goals; in a sense you are letting nature know what kind of course you want to travel on.

 How important is it to belong to a Coven?

When a major undertaking is to be performed, then it is important that you have the support of other members as in a Coven setting. For everyday living it is strictly a personal choice if you want to be a Solitary or a Coven member.

Is reading the Tarot Cards a form of Black Magic?
To think of Tarot cards as a form of Black Magick is like thinking of the telephone as a bad thing because you may get an annoying call. Tarot cards are Wisdom and Knowledge, which empower. Some people are just plain envious.

When doing a Spell, is it always a form of calling on Spirits?
Spellwork can involve Spirits, but not necessarily so. When doing a spell you gather or accumulate a certain amount of energy and then send it to the recipient. Similar to how a flash for a camera is being charged and then released at the right moment.

What is a Ghost or negative Spirit?
Ghosts are Spirits. They can be either negative or positive or somewhere in between. They have their ups and downs just like when they were people.

Is the Ouija Board a bad thing? I’ve heard of people having bad luck when using the Ouija Board, why is that?
Is a telephone a bad thing because you have received an obscene phone call? Certainly not. Neither is the Ouija Board. We’re dealing here with a communicating device between this world and the spirit world. Sure, you can contact negative Spirits, but you use precautions to protect yourself.

What is the proper way to use Seals? Do they work?
Seals are like a number to call when you want to employ the assistance of Spirits. Different Seals, different Spirits. Each spirit has their own specialty. By anointing, using them under a candle or carrying them with you, you have employed their assistance for your magickal work.

How do the powders work and how are they prepared? By whom?
Powders have encased in them certain magickal powers according to the ingredients used to make them. (herbs & oils). Your energy acts like a fuse to release them and do the work for you. Powders are prepared by individuals who are knowledgeable about the magickal properties of the ingredients. Just like a pharmacist knows his pharmacology.

Should Spells be done only on certain days of the week, certain times and by the decrease or increase of the Moon? (Phases of the Moon)?
Normally Spells should be done acccording to the Moon phases, since you get extra help from the Universe. On the other hand, if you have an emergency situation you have to act immediately. The emergency of the situation will supply adrenalin and thereby extra energy to do successful work.

 What does a Dark Moon mean?
Dark Moon is the period of time between waning & waxing, the New Moon.

 Does an eclipse play a role in magick?
Yes, depending on the spell you are doing it can have positive or negative influences. Best to check your calendar first and use it to your advantage.

 If you are in the middle of a Spell and an eclipse comes, will this change the effects of the Spell?
See above, depending on the nature of the Spell, it can be beneficial or you have to do your Spell over again.

 Does the size of a candle matter?
Size of candle does not matter providing you have enough to complete your Spell. It is not the size; it is what you do with it that counts.

 What does the pentagram/pentacle represent and what is the difference between the two?
Pentagram is the graphical presentation of the Pentacle, namely two dimensional. The Pentacle is three-dimensional. The Pentacle/Pentagram is the most powerful protection symbol, representing the 4 elements & spirits - the works. It also represents woman/man in the Universe.

 When you buy a Charm, do you need to do anything with it before you wear it? Or is it just the symbol that works magick?
A Charm, like a Seal, has the power locked into it. A meditation ritual, which may include Candleburning will help to tune you both to the same frequency Therefore, the benefits can be unlocked and used in your favor.

 What is best to use when doing Spellwork, cone incense, sticks or powder?
Personal preferences determine the use of stick, cone or powdered incense. Sometimes resin or herbs on charcoal are preferable. Best to follow the advice of the author of the spell.

 What is the difference with dressing a candle from the center out or from the top/bottom to center?
Dressing a candle from the center to the ends is the more natural way, you keep control of balancing the candle without worry of dropping it, you can concentrate more on the task at hand. If you feel comfortable going end to end, by all means do so; it is the end result what counts.

 What is Shapeshifting? Can anyone do it?
Shapeshifting is to psychically transform yourself temporarily into something else, animal or object, in order to perform tasks that are specialties of the other being or object. Anybody with the proper training and sincere desire to accomplish it can succeed.

 Can you protect yourself from a Shapeshifter?
Your usual Personal Protection is adequate.

 What is a warlock?
Old term for a male witch, not used anymore.

 What does Occult mean?
Occult means hidden or concealed, the term is used in medicine, as in occult Blood; in astronomy: occultation of the heavenly bodies and in Metaphysics as in hidden knowledge.
